Give people things that they will use and therefore keep.
Useful items include promotional pens, key chains, mouse pads, magnetic
clips, and letter openers. These items never go out of style and always come in
handy. A person can’t have too many pens. Would you throw a good pen away? And
take key chains. Between house keys, car keys, mailbox keys, locker keys, and
shed keys, a person is not likely to throw away a good key chain.
These days, everyone needs a mouse pad, too. Mouse pads get dirty or boring and
it’s always nice to have a fresh, clean one on hand. Besides, your son or
daughter might borrow yours and not remember where they put it. You wouldn’t
want to find yourself without one.
The best way to reach your customer is to give him something useful with your
company name, logo, and contact information on it. He may not need your services
or products right away, but when he does, he’s got your number right at hand. A
promotional product that is tossed into the trash almost as soon as it is
received is wasted time, money, and effort. It’s also ineffective if it’s tossed
into a bottom drawer and forgotten. To get the most out of your advertising
dollar budgeted for promotional items, give your prospective customers something
they will keep. Your business will be advertised over and over as they use the
item. |
